"Reframing European Democracy: how can we become European citizens?”

Virtual table talk with Ulrike Guérot, Professor at Danube University Krems.

Starting early 2020, the Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft has launched a new series of lunch events. These lunch events take up the issues of “Think. Order. Form. Forwards.“. The anthology with short essays that carry forward Alfred Herrhausen’s thoughts in current discourses has been published by Siedler Verlag last year (German only).

After Janka Oertel and Henrik Enderlein, Ulrike Guérot is the third keynote speaker of the series of lunch events. Ulrike Guérot serves as Professor at Danube University Krems, where she heads the Department for European Politics and the Study of Democracy (DED). She also founded the European Democracy Lab, a think tank dedicated to the future of European democracy. For Think. Order. Form. Forwards., she authored the essay „European Republic: From the EU legal community to a European democracy”. Her keynote "Reframing European Democracy: how can we become European citizens?” will be followed by a moderated discussion among the participants

More details on the issues and events will be published here and via social media in due time. Participation is by invitation only. For further information please contact info.ahg@db.com.
